How To Make Money With Url Shorteners

Aside from allowing you to finish your tweet without going over the 140 character limit, there are other benefits to using shortened Urls. A short Url will allow you to easily share your links, they can track data and how many people have clicked on your link, and now they can make you money!

I love finding new ways to make money, so you can imagine how happy I was to find out that shortening Urls could provide me with extra spending money, without having to spend too much time or effort. Now, how would you make money by shortening your Urls?

The same way YouTube Partners get paid for every person who clicks the ‘Skip Ad’ button, companies will pay you for every click your link generates. The amount of money you get paid will of course vary depending on which website you use to shorten your Url, but there are a few websites that I think offer the most benefits. If you know of more Url shorteners, comment below or tweet me @TeenBoss101 and I will check it out!

1. AdFly

AdFly is an amazing Url shortener that will not only shorten your Url and give you real time statistics on how many people click on your link, but it will also pay you for every time someone clicks on it. On top of that, if you refer people you will get 20% of whatever they earn. If you know of anyone who would want to be an advertiser, you can refer them and make 5% of every advertising order they make.

AdFly counts the number of views every 24 hours so if you get 1000 views per day, you will earn (currently) $3.75 but lets say you only get 100 views in 24 hours, that 100 views would carry over until you get 1000 views. The cool part about this is that, from my understanding, is that if you get 1000 new visitors, you would earn $8.17. Payments are made to PayPal, Payza, and Payoneer in monthly installments and require a $5 minimum (Payoneer is $10) in your AdFly account before you can withdraw any money. You can withdraw daily, if you have been a member for over 1 month, and you have reached the $5 cashout limit.

Payout Rate Per 1000 Views: $3.75

Payout Rate Per 1000 Visitors: $8.16

Minimum Withdrawal Amount: $5.00

2. Shorte.st

Becoming a Shortener is almost identical to joining AdFly but Shorte.st is relatively new, so not many people are using it which is a great advantage! What I really like about Shorte.st is that the layout of the website is very user friendly and easy to navigate. Like AdFly, you will get 20% commission from the money your referrals make, plus you can add banners to your website and earn money for every click your banner receives. For every 1000 views you will earn $3.75 and payments are made every month to PayPal and Payoneer.

Payout Rate Per 1000 Views: $3.75

Minimum Withdrawal Amount: $5.00 ($20.00 for Payoneer)

3. Snip.ps

This is another website that specializes in shortening your Urls. They offer a 20% commission rate for every click your referral gets on their shortened links. The payout rate depends on the content of the destination website, so if the shortened link leads to a high traffic website, advertisers will pay you at a higher rate. The great thing about Snip.ps is that there is no minimum payout rate, so you will get paid via PayPal every 1st of the month.

Payout Rate: Depends on the linked website

Minimum Withdrawal Amount: No minimum via Paypal ($10.00 via Check)

4. ReduceInk

I really like this website for their statistics on who clicks on each link. Aside from getting paid for each click, it will tell you how many clicks you got each day, each month, where your visitors are coming from, and which links are generating the most clicks. They offer a 25% commission rate for the earnings your referral generates, in addition to the $3.10 payout rate. There is a $5 minimum withdrawal that will be paid via PayPal.

Payout Rate: $3.10

Minimum Withdrawal Amount $5.oo

Conclusion (Tips on How To Maximize Your Profit)

All 4 websites are amazing and offer competitive payout rates. I encourage you to give each website a try to see which one you like the most and can offer you the most profit. I personally do not have a favorite but, I can say that using them in combinations is very helpful. For example, ReduceInk has a lower payout rate but a high commission rate, so you use that for your referrals while using any other website for your links. You could even use all 4 for your links, and really maximize your profits!

Another way to make more money, is to shorten every link you share with one of these services. If you want to share a video with your family on Facebook, shorten the link before sharing the video. If you link a picture to one of your tweets, shorten the link. If you want to share this article with your family and friends, shorten the link! It only takes you 10 seconds to shorten the link, and make some easy cash. Try these websites out and let me know what you think! If you liked this article, share it with your friends and family (with a shortened link!), subscribe to this blog, and follow me on Twitter @TeenBoss101 for more ways to make money.

Three Must Have Apps That Will Make You Money

From one boss to another we all like to make money. Whether it’s by creating a business or doing small jobs, money can be found anywhere, you just have to know where to look. Of course, the best way to make money is passively because it requires little effort, and it allows you free time to do other things. How can you do this without spending too much time? Use your phone! Your smartphone goes with you everywhere, and there is no better way to make money than doing something you’re already doing.

With that said, I have a list of 3 solid apps (and I’ve tried a lot) that you should give a chance. I did include my referral codes for each app because they will reward you (and me) for using it, which really makes a difference in how long it takes you to redeem your prize. Now that all of that is out of the way, onto the apps!

1. CheckPoints (referral code: teenboss)

CheckPoints is not exactly a new app, but I haven’t come across too many people who use it. To earn points, you basically “check-in” to stores and businesses around you, then scan the barcodes of featured products to get extra points. You can also complete offers, watch videos, play games, and of course refer people to earn even more points. The best part is that you can go online and download the CheckPoints toolbar to your browser. This means that whenever you search for something you would get points. They will also reward you for online purchases through your favorite retailers. One of the newer features is that you can read articles or click through short slide presentations for points. Keep in mind, that a few points go a long way so 20 points everyday will eventually add up to 1000 points in a few weeks.

One thing I always did was tag along with my parents when they ran errands, so that I could “check-in” to stores that we passed by. Then as my mom shopped for groceries, I would go up and down the aisles scanning the featured products. Another easy way to get points is to sit in a set location (your house if you live close to stores), and just “check-in” to the stores that pop- up.

As for prizes, there are A LOT of gift cards from retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, Target, Louis Vuitton, Home Depot, and so many more. You can get Shell gift cards (for all of you drivers), Southwest, American, and Alaska Airlines gift cards, which saves a lot of travel money. Plus, you can get gadgets like Beats Headphones, the XBox One, Samsung Galaxy, and sweepstakes to win other prizes. Overall, you have a lot of choices and if have a particular prize in mind you can always redeem a gift card fromĀ  Amazon and buy it there.

I did include my referral code, which does give you 50 extra points (at this time) but please be weary of those trying to say they have a hacked code. Most of the time they do not work, and they WILL get your account suspended or terminated.

2. Mobee (referral code: NZXM)

Mobee is a fairly new app, that is very similar to CheckPoints. To get points you accept a ‘mission’ and go to a restaurant or store (from my area it is mostly restaurants), take a picture of the establishment, buy something and take a picture of your receipt. Next, you would answer a brief questionnaire within the application. Once everything is approved, you will get your points. It really is that easy, and these are places that you probably already go to like Starbucks, McDonalds, Macy’s, etc.

The missions around my area are all about the hospitality, so that might be different depending on where you are. Missions range from 100-400 points and I believe every 100 points equals $1. This means that the 400 points mission is really $4, which is a pretty good. Lets say you order, for the sake of the example, a $4 drink at Starbucks. If you take a picture of the business, your receipt, and answer the questionnaire you’ll be done with the mission by the time they finish making your drink. Of course, if you tag along with someone and they let you take a picture of their receipt, you just gain that $4. Either way, it’s a win-win situation. Give it a try!

3. ReceiptHog (referral link: http://app.receipthog.com/share/kwc9y6xc)

ReceiptHot is another easy way to make money, doing something you already do. It requires no extra effort, all you have to do is take a picture of your receipt. Depending on the amount you spent at each store, you earn 5, 10, or 15 coins. You can submit 20 receipts a week with a maximum of 3 per day, and the receipt can be no older than 14 days old. If you are in a situation where you have more than 3 receipts in a given day, just hold on to it and submit it the next day to get the maximum number of points. When you meet the 20 receipt threshold, you can still submit receipts but they will only be worth 5 coins, regardless of the amount you spent at that store. When invite others (**hint**), you receive a certain number of ‘spins’ for the “Hog Slots” game where you can win 100 coins, 100 dollars, or a refund of your last trip.

There are only 2 prizes: a PayPal gift card and a cash payout, which seems like a pretty good deal to me! Now, when you redeem your first $5 prize (either the PayPal gift card or cash) at 1000 coins, you also unlock the second level. The second level has the same PayPal gift card or cash option, but you can get $10 for 1,800 coins which means you save 200 coins. The third level prizes will cost you 3,200 coin for a $20 prize, and the fourth will cost you 4,500 coins for a $30 prize. While, you could just stay at the first level and continue to get the $5 at 1000 coins, you save a lot more coins if you continue to move up to the fourth level where you save more coins. Like I said before, the coins add up quickly and for something that takes you less than 30 seconds to do, it is worth it.

I really like all 3 of these apps, and am always looking for more ways to earn money. If you have any comments or suggestions let me know! Be sure to follow me on Twitter @teenboss101 to stay up to date with more ways to make money!
